Description

You will debug complex cloud-native clusters, prototype Kubernetes operators and Slurm plugins, and drive architecture reviews with internal and customer teams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Debug multi-rack, multi-tenant clusters, including scheduler behavior, container runtime issues, and RDMA/IB fabric anomalies.
  • Prototype feature extensions for Kubernetes operators, Slurm plugins, and custom micro-services to expose new GPU capabilities.
  • Drive joint architecture reviews and convert findings into RFCs and upstream pull requests for Kubernetes and Slurm.
  • Create reproducible testbeds using Helm, Ansible, and Terraform, and automate validation and benchmark suites.
  • Deliver technical collateral and present at customer on-sites and conferences like KubeCon and SlurmUG.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of professional software development in distributed systems using Go, Rust, C/C++, or Python.
  • Strong source-level expertise in Kubernetes internals, including scheduler, CRI/CNI/CSI, and operators.
  • Hands-on experience with Slurm, including federation, power-save, and plugins.
  • Proven track record debugging large-scale cloud-native stacks across networking (RDMA/RoCE), storage, and control planes.
  • Experience integrating next-gen GPUs (Blackwell/GB200/GB300) or comparable accelerators into containerized clusters.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and Tekton, and observability platforms like Prometheus and OpenTelemetry.
  • Customer-facing engineering or solutions-architect background with experience in requirements gathering and PoC ownership.
  • BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Upstream contributions to Kubernetes, Slurm, Volcano, or similar projects.
  • Experience with GPU computing (CUDA) and deep learning workloads.
