Description

You will lead the modernization of a legacy customer product by migrating its core C/C++ codebase to Java.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Migrate existing features from C/C++ to Java in incremental chunks to ensure system stability.
• Solve complex technical problems within the legacy codebase to facilitate a smooth transition.
• Collaborate across product, DevOps, and engineering teams to build, test, and deploy code.
• Modernize outdated system architectures to improve scalability and support AI integration.

Required Skills

• 15-20+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in C/C++ with proven experience solving hard technical problems.
• Demonstrated success in large-scale migrations to Java.
• Direct experience managing migrations for large, consumer-facing products.
• Background in finance or healthcare with experience managing on-prem services.
• Proficiency with DevOps practices and tooling.
• Strong problem-solving skills applied to legacy system refactoring.
