Description

You will lead the architecture, design, and development of software for embedded devices.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and develop software for embedded systems.
• Conduct code reviews and implement unit testing for embedded devices.
• Manage the C++ build process and optimize performance.
• Implement inter-process communications (IPC) and remote procedure calls (RPC).
• Work across diverse engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expertise in C, C++, and modern C++ standards (C++11, C++14, or C++17).
• Deep experience with embedded Linux, BSP, and Linux subsystems.
• Strong knowledge of device drivers and POSIX-based systems like Linux or QNX.
• Proven ability with multithreading, algorithms, and memory/performance profiling tools.
• Hands-on experience with client-server, peer-to-peer, and publish/subscribe paradigms.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IP-based protocols including HTTP, TLS, REST, Websockets, JSON, and XML.
• Familiarity with Protobufs, Flatbuffers, RTP, RTSP, or HLS.
