Description

You will lead web accessibility remediation efforts to ensure public websites adhere to WCAG 2.1 guidelines.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead the remediation of accessibility issues across public-facing websites.
• Update front-end codebases using JSP, HTML, CSS, and Struts to achieve WCAG compliance.
• Diagnose accessibility barriers and implement solutions to improve user experience.
• Mentor mid-level engineers on web accessibility best practices.
• Track accessibility projects and tasks using JIRA.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Deep knowledge of WCAG 2.1 guidelines and accessibility standards.
• Hands-on experience in web accessibility remediation and testing tools.
• Proficiency with Java/Spring, JSP, HTML, CSS, and Struts.
• Experience working with JBoss servers.
• Practical knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Experience with issue and project tracking tools, specifically JIRA.

Preferred Skills

• Web Accessibility certification (e.g., CPACC, WAS).
• Familiarity with Angular and Bootstrap.
