Description

You will design, build, and maintain large-scale Java systems while mentoring junior engineers and driving technical excellence across the team.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design self-contained systems within the team domain and lead implementations of significant capabilities.
• Decompose complex designs into maintainable implementations for less experienced engineers.
• Conduct root cause analysis for domain-level problems and prescribe mitigation actions.
• Define test suites and instrumentation to ensure production targets for latency and availability.
• Evaluate attack surfaces, identify best practices for security, and lead vulnerability closure.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production.
• Strong proficiency in Java 20/21 and object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with Spring Framework or Spring Boot for building RESTful services.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Git, Maven, and unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Ability to coach team members on reliability, resiliency, security, and performance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with messaging or integration concepts such as JMS or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with Angular, Node JS, and Azure SQL.
• Basic Linux/Unix command-line usage.
