Drive technical direction and implementation of complex software solutions across the full stack.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, architecture, and research activities for software design and solver research.
• Perform complex development, bug verification, and release testing for assigned products.
• Analyze marketing requirements to align technical development with customer needs and performance criteria.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage interns or co-ops as needed.
• Research and resolve problems identified by QA or product support.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of client-server architecture and development.
• Proven experience with Web APIs including REST, gRPC, and WebSocket.
• 10+ years of commercial experience in software design and development.
• MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (3+ years exp) or PhD (1+ year exp).
• Ability to work independently in a geographically distributed team.
• Strong communication skills for technical reviews and collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Production experience with Angular or React.
• Experience handling large 2D or 3D data sets for browser-based visualization.
• Experience with DevOps tools, CI pipeline development, and maintaining customer-facing web applications.
