Description

You will build and maintain backend services across the full software development lifecycle, taking features from initial concept through to production release.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and extensible APIs.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues within a large codebase.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
• Write technical documentation to improve long-term maintainability.
• Apply security, documentation, and monitoring best practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building backend software.
• 3+ years of proficiency in Python and frameworks like Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and batch processing.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, SQS, and API Gateway.
• Proficiency with NoSQL databases, specifically DynamoDB.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
• Strong knowledge of Python testing frameworks such as pytest or unittest.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
