Description

Design, develop, and support scalable networking infrastructure and software systems, transforming monolithic architectures into microservice-oriented designs. This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver mission-critical, 24x7 production quality software systems.
• Analyze and implement enhancements to existing applications and codebases.
• Research and prototype new technologies to maintain service relevance.
• Design distributed systems and web services with a focus on scale-out infrastructure.
• Maintain service health using debugging tools and automation.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, including debugging tools like Jdb and JMX.
• Experience with ODL, REST, RESTCONF, and RPC services.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Experience with Linux environments and automation scripting (Ansible, Python, or Bash).
• Knowledge of Linux networking, virtualization (KVM), and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with messaging infrastructures like Kafka, Thrift, or Protocol Buffers.
• Knowledge of Open API, data modeling (YANG), and SDN architecture.
