Description

Lead the design and architecture of scalable, distributed systems while providing technical mentorship to engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of new and existing systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Build and maintain scalable, distributed systems using cloud frameworks.
• Develop high-quality software using Object Oriented Principles and Java.
• Create data models, stored procedures, views, and functions within relational databases.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Deep knowledge of Java, J2EE, Spring Core, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework (MVC, Integration, Data).
• 3+ years of experience building distributed systems using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 3+ years of experience leading system design and architecture.
• Proficiency with JPA, Hibernate, and SQL.
• Strong experience with MS SQL Server, including DB scripts and data modeling.
• Experience with Object Oriented Principles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with big data systems, containerized microservices, serverless functions, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience building reactive systems using Spring Cloud and WebFlux.
• Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, Cassandra, or Spark.
