Description

Design and deliver cloud-based backend features and APIs from concept to production.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Own complete features, including design, architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Build scalable microservices and event-driven architectures using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and maintain APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Debug large codebases and improve application performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to translate requirements into clean, extensible solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend development.
• 4+ years of strong proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Experience with cloud applications on AWS, including serverless infrastructure (AWS Lambda).
• Strong database design skills in relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) systems.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).
• Proficiency with distributed messaging systems such as Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and technical documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python (pytest/unittest) or Node.js/TypeScript.
