Description

Design, develop, and support scalable software systems and infrastructure within the networking industry. You will build and deliver mission-critical, 24x7 production quality software, transforming monolithic systems into microservice-oriented architectures.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable, high-availability software systems.
• Refactor monolithic applications into microservice architectures.
• Develop next-generation network architectures using modern software-defined technologies.
• Analyze and implement code enhancements to solve complex distributed systems problems.
• Collaborate with operations and architects to research and deploy technology improvements.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Expertise in Java, including debugging with JDB and JMX.
• Experience with ODL (OpenDaylight), REST, RESTCONF, and RPC services.
• Proficiency in Linux environments using Ansible, Python, or Bash for automation.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and container management.
• In-depth understanding of scale-out infrastructure, distributed systems, and web services.
• Strong application of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Experience with Linux networking and virtualization technologies (KVM, containers).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SDN architecture (control, data, management planes) and ODL controller internals.
• Kafka, Thrift, or Protocol Buffers messaging infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Open API, YANG data modeling, and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra).
