Description

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js, owning the full lifecycle from architecture to deployment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js.
• Write clean, testable code and implement unit tests using Jest or Mocha.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience with Node.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Experience with Express.js or NestJS frameworks.
• Deep understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORMs (Prisma, Sequelize, TypeORM).
• Experience with MongoDB and Mongoose.
• Proficiency with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with real-time communication technologies like Socket.io or WebSockets.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Redis, or message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, AWS SQS).
• Familiarity with GraphQL or frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
