Description

Build and maintain real-time data processing systems and RESTful microservices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop microservices using Scala and the Typelevel stack.
• Maintain and support existing services using Akka HTTP and Akka Streams.
• Collaborate on technical architecture, tool selection, and process improvements.
• Perform code reviews and coach fellow developers on engineering standards.
• Contribute to DevOps and GitOps practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Scala and the Typelevel stack.
• Hands-on experience with Akka HTTP and Akka Streams.
• Experience with Kafka and Cassandra.
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Experience working within GCP and AWS environments.
• Strong understanding of TDD and pair programming.
• Experience working in cross-functional agile teams.

Preferred Skills

• Interest or experience in evolving personalization services with machine learning.
