Description

Design and optimize low-level firmware for Arm reference application processors, owning the full lifecycle from specification analysis to upstreaming and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application processor firmware and software stacks for Arm reference platforms.
• Perform low-level software development, testing, and debugging across software models, development boards, and shipping products.
• Analyze industry specifications and roadmap requirements to break down tasks and implement project plans.
• Provide technical direction for platform implementation projects for internal teams and external partners.
• Manage upstreaming and maintenance activities within an extended development team.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Expertise in C and C++ for adding functionality and fixing complex defects.
• Strong command of low-level systems, including bootloaders and device drivers.
• Deep understanding of OS fundamentals, preferably Linux.
• Ability to analyze industry specs and translate them into technical implementations.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Degree in a numerate subject or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with open-source project development cycles and contribution processes.
• Knowledge of various software testing techniques and automated test systems.
• Experience using Agile software development lifecycle methods.
