Senior engineer owning backend design, development, and architecture while mentoring junior team members.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Build and maintain REST APIs for serverless-first AWS architectures.
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads on AWS Lambda, ECS, SNS, and SQS.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate on system architecture decisions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on Java backend development (no UI/web focus).
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Deep experience with AWS serverless services: Lambda, ECS (Docker), SNS, SQS.
• Experience building REST APIs (no GraphQL).
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to GenAI/LLM integrations and AWS Bedrock.
• Background in document processing or data pipelines.
