You will design and build distributed systems that process millions of events per second with high availability and low latency.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end projects from design through production, ensuring scalability and operational excellence.
• Evolving streaming alerting and eventing platforms with a focus on throughput, reliability, and developer experience.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate alerting and event services into the customer observability ecosystem.
• Develop secure, multi-tenant integrations with third-party providers, handling sensitive credentials.
• Champion distributed systems best practices, including resilience, scalability, and fault tolerance.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience using Java or Go.
• Experience designing distributed systems capable of handling millions of events per second.
• Proficiency with streaming data pipelines, specifically Apache Flink, Kafka, or Kinesis.
• Familiarity with service-oriented architectures (SOA) and inter-service communication via gRPC or REST.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS, cloud networking, and Infrastructure-as-Code patterns (Terraform).
• Experience implementing encryption and authentication for multi-tenant SaaS systems.
• Ability to operate effectively in high-scale environments processing large volumes of alerts.
