Description

You will lead technical recovery of production services during major incidents and provide subject matter expertise for delivery, support, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical recovery of production services during major incidents.
• Improve operational processes and procedures as a change agent.
• Provide technical analysis for tactical and strategic planning.
• Coach and mentor staff through regular performance feedback and goal setting.
• Develop and refine networking solutions specifically for AWS and other cloud providers.

Required Skills

• 6 to 10 years of experience in cloud networking and software engineering.
• Deep expertise in AWS landing zone services, tools, and processes.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, including VPCs, Subnets, Route tables, NAT, VPN Gateways, and Security Groups.
• Proficiency with Python and scripting in Windows and *nix environments.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS CodeCommit.
• Experience with cloud-native architectural patterns and discrete microservices.
• Competency with Cloud Load Balancers, Route53, and Elastic IPs.
• Experience using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and DataDog for monitoring.
• Ability to troubleshoot network, connectivity, and DNS issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing Checkpoint firewall infrastructure for the cloud.
• Familiarity with serverless technologies like AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.
