Description

Design, build, and maintain scalable functionality within the Formworks application, owning the end-to-end lifecycle from specifications to production health.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design, system analysis, and programming for application software.
• Develop production-ready software using best-practice data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Drive code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
• Produce clear, readable technical documentation for all developed components.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience designing and developing secure, high-performing applications.
• Experience with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technologies such as FIS FormWorks, Mavro, OPEX, or Impira.
• Expertise in OCR editor configuration and batch support.
• Expertise in 834 EDI file format and processing.
• Proven ability to research and apply design patterns and industry trends.
• Experience identifying and eradicating technical debt and anti-patterns.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical education and experience.

Preferred Skills

• Collaboration with product managers, designers, and DevOps to define and scope functional requirements.
