Description

You will design, develop, and deliver software solutions within the Payment Networks organization. You own the customer experience for bundled products and drive enterprise-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver new services, including dependent services, interactions, and policies.
• Drive resolution for complex enterprise-wide initiatives spanning multiple services and programs.
• Mentor software engineers to improve productivity, quality, and technology policy compliance.
• Conduct technical interviews to raise the engineering performance bar.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in building highly scalable, highly available full-stack Java applications using modern Java EE frameworks.
• Strong experience with event-driven systems such as Apache Kafka or NATS.
• Experience in performance engineering to ensure applications scale and perform under varying demands.
• Ability to architect systems cost-effectively to meet different market scaling needs.
• Proven experience leading and coaching teams through software planning and estimation for large-scale programs.
• Ability to drive trade-off discussions regarding development capacity, security, and technical debt.
• Skill in articulating complex architecture patterns and their technical implications to executives.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of C/C++ applications.
