Description

You will design and develop low-level software for embedded devices, owning the architecture, prototyping, and implementation of bootloaders, kernels, and device drivers.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and prototyping for embedded systems.
• Develop and maintain code for bootloaders, kernels, and device drivers.
• Manage the C++ build process and implement unit testing.
• Perform memory and performance profiling to optimize system efficiency.
• Collaborate with diverse engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Expertise in C and modern C++ (C++11, C++14, or C++17).
• Deep knowledge of Embedded Linux, BSP, and Linux subsystems.
• Experience with POSIX-based systems such as Linux or QNX.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, algorithms, and IPC.
• Proficiency with client-server, peer-to-peer, and publish/subscribe paradigms.
• Solid grasp of remote procedure calls (RPC).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IP-based protocols including HTTP, TLS, REST, Websockets, JSON, XML, Protobufs, Flatbuffers, RTP, RTSP, or HLS.
