Description

You will own Linux kernel and embedded software components to improve Android device power and performance.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain device driver code and kernel/CPU interactions.
• Analyze performance and power using ftrace and systrace to identify root causes.
• Optimize clock behavior and scheduler impacts for system responsiveness.
• Support low power modes and memory optimization, validating changes across Android userspace.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in embedded Linux/Android performance and power engineering.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++, including embedded C/C++.
• Experience with Linux kernel development and embedded software development.
• Knowledge of device driver development, clock handling, and scheduler mechanics.
• Ability to perform Android power analysis and memory optimization.
• Familiarity with tracing tools such as ftrace and systrace.

Preferred Skills

• BSP experience and familiarity with the AOSP environment.
• Java knowledge for Android-side integration and debugging.
