Description

You will build and maintain backend services within a distributed architecture.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Own features throughout the entire software development lifecycle from concept to production release.
• Collaborate with Product and engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into clean, extensible APIs.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues within a large codebase.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
• Write technical documentation to improve the maintainability of software assets.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building backend software.
• 3+ years of proficiency in Python.
• Experience with Python backend frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and batch processing.
• Proficiency with Python testing frameworks like pytest or unittest.
• Experience with AWS services including Lambda, SQS, and API Gateway.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases, specifically DynamoDB.
• Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
• Experience building and deploying applications in the AWS cloud.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
