Description

You will design, develop, and support moderately complex software applications within Agile delivery teams.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Translate business and stakeholder requirements into technical designs, source code, and testing artifacts.
• Collaborate with Software Architects and senior engineers to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
• Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate engineering risks while keeping project stakeholders informed.
• Provide production support and resolve application issues in accordance with established SLAs.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL databases, specifically Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong JavaScript back-end development experience with frameworks such as React, Angular, Node.js, or Next.js.
• Front-end development experience including Webpack, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, Accessibility, and Responsive Layouts.
• Understanding of continuous delivery tools like Chef, Puppet, or Salt.
• Understanding of continuous integration and deployment tools like Octopus Deploy or Jenkins.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Insurance or Reinsurance Systems and Data.
• Familiarity with non-relational database technologies such as Memcached, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Some experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, or OpenStack.
