Description

Design and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for a retail device network spanning 40,000 stores. Drive improvements in the Store SDLC through automation, release engineering, and continuous delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Golang and .NET (C#) with Postgres databases.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs that support high-reliability continuous software delivery.
• Automate deployment processes, including validation strategies and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
• Resolve complex technical issues related to performance, scalability, and security across Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience in backend systems.
• Proficiency in Golang and C#/.NET Core.
• Strong experience with REST API development and Postgres or similar relational databases.
• Hands-on knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Proficient in Git and version control systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing distributed systems or microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of API security standards such as OAuth and JWT.
