Description

You will design, develop, and maintain software for implantable cardiac pulse generator programmers, ensuring high quality and patient safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features and maintain existing applications using Java, C++, and Perl.
• Analyze requirements, verify software behavior, and debug complex engineering problems.
• Document development processes, test cases, and change requests according to established standards.
• Track development effort and maintain records in approved management tools.
• Mentor less experienced staff and direct project activities as a primary technical contact.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of relevant software development work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in the medical device industry.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, and Perl programming languages.
• Demonstrated experience across the full software development life cycle (design, requirements, implementation, test).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to analyze situations and recommend corrective actions for software design and operating systems.
• Strong documentation skills with the ability to produce clear reports and memos.
