Description

You will design, develop, test, and ship high-quality technical solutions that scale across multiple GitHub services.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement APIs to facilitate seamless integration between software components.
• Own and advocate for the health and quality of the systems the team builds, including on-call participation.
• Write architecture briefs and build prototypes to test planetary scale system concepts.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Utilize CI/CD tools to set up automated pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.

Required Skills

• 6+ years experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline delivering production software.
• Proven coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
• Associate’s Degree in a relevant technical field with 5+ years experience, OR Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years experience, OR Master's Degree with 2+ years experience, OR Doctorate in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Minimum 3 years experience with Go programming language and related tools.
• Minimum 2 years experience with distributed systems and API design (REST APIs, microservices).
