Description

You will design, deliver, and own the end-to-end development of large-scale features spanning multiple months. You are responsible for technical specifications, performance tuning, and mentoring engineers to ship secure, high-quality code.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of complex features, from technical design specifications to sprint planning and delivery.
• Tune distributed systems to meet SLAs and ensure high performance and security.
• Conduct peer code reviews and mentor junior engineers to improve technical solutions and velocity.
• Collaborate on architectural decisions for microservices and container-based environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience in an object-oriented, dynamically typed language, preferably Python.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservice architecture, and RESTful API development.
• High proficiency with SQL and relational databases, specifically MySQL, including knowledge of locking, transactions, and isolation levels.
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and message brokers like RabbitMQ.
• Proven experience using GitHub for version control and CI/CD integration.
• Familiarity with *nix-like environments and cloud computing infrastructure.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building and integrating with Payroll Providers and Time & Attendance platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
