Description

Own the analysis, design, and implementation of infrastructure for web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain production-quality Splunk dashboards, reports, and visualizations for security, IT operations, and application development teams.
• Install, configure, and administer Splunk Enterprise components including Search Heads, Indexers, Heavy Forwarders, and Deployment Servers on UNIX and Windows.
• Manage Splunk architecture, including clustering, forwarder management, and migrating enterprise versions.
• Configure Splunk DB Connect in single and distributed environments and estimate hardware/storage requirements for capacity planning.
• Develop custom regex for field extractions and transformations, and automate workflows using Perl with ServiceNow and PowerShell for agent management.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure design and software engineering.
• Expertise in Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Security, Machine Learning Toolkit, and ITSI.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk components: DB Connect, Search Head, Indexer, and Universal/Heavy Forwarders.
• Proficiency in Shell scripting, Perl, and PowerShell.
• Strong knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with regex for data parsing and field extraction.
• Technical proficiency in C, Python, and Java.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux environments and MQ.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Appdynamics, including creating synthetic and business transactions.
• Knowledge of Splunk Cloud and Splunk App for AWS.
