Description

You will build and maintain scalable production systems within a senior-heavy team.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-throughput redirect services.
• Refactor and translate legacy PHP systems into modern services.
• Design systems capable of handling traffic spikes and large write volumes.
• Implement and manage asynchronous processing, queues, and logging.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience building production systems at scale.
• Strong backend engineering background with PHP and Node.js.
• Experience with SQL at scale, including transactions and indexing.
• Proficiency with Docker and building microservice-based architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, specifically EC2 and RDS.
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS for internal tooling.
• Ability to design for abuse resistance and unpredictable external input.
• Experience migrating monoliths or cron-based workflows.
