You will design complex data solutions and implement software services within the big data ecosystem.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define system scope, objectives, and detailed specifications for assigned projects.
• Contribute to complex design solutions and assist Data Architects with Scala script re-design.
• Develop application code, perform unit testing, and execute system testing.
• Optimize and modify procedures to resolve complex problems regarding system capabilities and performance.
• Mentor and guide junior team members both on-site and offshore.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Spark using the Java API.
• Extensive experience with AWS Cloud technologies and AWS EMR.
• Strong knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem, including Hive, HBase, and Hue.
• Proficiency with Kafka and Scala.
• Extensive experience using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with YARN Spark, specifically fine-tuning and optimizing Spark applications.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and its frameworks.
• Experience operating within Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of DevSecOps.
