Description

You will manage mainframe infrastructure, lead application upgrades, and ensure system availability through automation and remediation.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead vulnerability remediation and manage moderately complex application upgrades.
• Automate platform activities to increase systems availability and reduce manual intervention.
• Monitor batch jobs, resolve failures and Abends, and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and preventative action discussions with service management.
• Mentor less experienced team members on technical process controls and standards.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of mainframe batch experience.
• 2+ years of DB2 experience.
• Proficiency with JCL and COBOL.
• Experience with ISPF editors, CA7 Batch, SDSF, File Manager, and SAVRS.
• Ability to perform system maintenance and support daily research requests.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with AGILE workflows and the Application Development life cycle.
• Experience with CA7 Job Scheduler or similar CICS for PI support.
• Knowledge of data transmission protocols such as NDM.
