You will own the analysis, design, and implementation of infrastructure for web-based applications.
Responsibilities
Design and maintain production-quality Splunk dashboards, reports, and visualizations for security, IT operations, and application development teams.
Manage the installation, configuration, and administration of Splunk Enterprise, including Search Heads, Indexers, Heavy Forwarders, and Deployment Servers on UNIX and Windows.
Execute Splunk architecture migrations and manage clustering, forwarder management, and DB Connect in distributed environments.
Develop custom PowerShell scripts for agent installation and use Perl to automate Splunk with Service-Now for event triggering.
Perform capacity planning and hardware estimation for distributed Splunk environments to ensure optimal performance.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in infrastructure design and Splunk administration.
Expertise in Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Security, Machine Learning Toolkit, and ITSI.
Proficiency in Shell scripting and PowerShell scripting.
Hands-on experience with regex for field extractions and transformations.
Strong understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Experience with MQ and various UNIX flavors.
Technical knowledge of TCP/IP, Telnet, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SNMP, and LDAP.
Ability to manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and document requirements in ALM, Remedy, or Confluence.
