Description

You will own the analysis, design, and implementation of infrastructure for web-based applications, with a focus on Splunk administration and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain production-quality Splunk dashboards, reports, and visualizations for security, IT operations, and application development teams.
• Manage the installation, configuration, and administration of Splunk Enterprise, including Search Heads, Indexers, Heavy Forwarders, and Deployment Servers on UNIX and Windows.
• Execute Splunk architecture migrations, manage clustering, forwarder management, and DB Connect in distributed environments.
• Develop custom PowerShell scripts for agent installation and use Perl to automate Splunk with Service-Now for event triggering.
• Perform capacity planning and hardware estimation for distributed Splunk environments to ensure optimal performance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure design and Splunk administration.
• Expertise in Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Security, Machine Learning Toolkit, and ITSI.
• Proficiency in Shell scripting and PowerShell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with regex for field extractions and transformations.
• Strong understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with MQ and various UNIX flavors.
• Technical knowledge of TCP/IP, Telnet, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SNMP, and LDAP.
• Ability to manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and document requirements in ALM, Remedy, or Confluence.
