Description

Manage availability, optimization, and performance of MSSQL environments across hosted and Azure IaaS SQL VMs.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Optimize MSSQL 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022 instances in hosted and Azure IaaS environments.
• Ensure database performance, high availability, replication, scalability, and security requirements are met.
• Monitor application databases and queries to suggest and apply continuous tuning.
• Collaborate with application teams to identify and resolve MSSQL-related issues.
• Review application design and code to ensure adherence to integrity, security, and performance standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in MSSQL (2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022).
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, and IaaS.
• Proficiency in Always On availability groups.
• Deep understanding of database encryption and storage procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for real-time MSSQL issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Experience with database performance analysis and tuning tools.
• Knowledge of SSAS and troubleshooting complex database environments.

Preferred Skills

• Relevant Azure certifications (DP-300, DP-900, or AZ-900).
