Description

You will manage enterprise-level on-premise and Azure cloud-based data environments through full-lifecycle database administration and development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and modernize complex legacy SQL code and infrastructure to support versioning and new development.
• Design and implement physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security administration.
• Perform backup and recovery operations, configure database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models.
• Optimize database access and re-allocate resources to ensure performance and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Application Designers, and Project Owners to discover business rules and assist in application design.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in database design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and administration.
• Expertise in complex SQL script authoring, including DML, DQL, and DCL.
• Deep understanding of data management concepts: normalization, aggregation, concurrency, and data modeling.
• Proficiency with data interchange formats such as JSON and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of Data Modeling: Logical, Physical, Relational, ER Diagrams, Entities, Attributes, Cardinality, Functions, Views, and Triggers.
• Experience with Azure Cloud services, BLOB Storage, DevOps, and SQL Data Tools.
• Competency in MS Power Apps, SQL Reporting Services, and MS Power BI.
• Practical application of security standards including NIST, Microsoft Trust Center (Azure compliance), and penetration testing.
• Experience working within the SDLC process and Agile/Scrum frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
