Description

Own the Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure supporting Microsoft Dynamics GP, ensuring high availability, performance, and financial data integrity.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure, focusing on General Ledger administration, account structures, and posting routines.
• Design, implement, and fine-tune SQL objects such as stored procedures, views, functions, and indexes to improve system performance.
• Lead complex troubleshooting for technical database issues and functional GL problems, collaborating with Finance and IT stakeholders.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes by ensuring ERP data availability and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain reporting solutions using SSRS, Management Reporter, or Power BI to support financial analysis and compliance.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in SQL Server database administration in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years of direct experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, with an emphasis on General Ledger system administration.
• Advanced expertise in T-SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Strong experience with backup/recovery strategies, high availability configurations, and database security practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and financial data workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Dynamics GP integration tools (e.g., eOne SmartConnect, Integration Manager).
• Familiarity with additional GP modules such as Payables, Receivables, and Fixed Assets.
• Experience working in a SOX-compliant or audited environment.
