Description

You will manage mission-critical, high-availability SQL Server environments for an investment banking or brokerage firm.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage production SQL Server environments, including implementation, maintenance, and project work.
• Provide Level 3 SME support and participate in on-call rotations.
• Execute performance tuning at the server and query levels using perfmon, DMVs, and extended events.
• Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including Mirroring, Replication, and Always On Availability Groups.
• Automate administrative tasks using T-SQL, PowerShell, or Python.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on SQL DBA experience in production environments.
• 5+ years in Level 3 / SME support roles with prior on-call experience.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server internals, partitioning, and data compression.
• Proficiency with SQL Server Clustering, SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS.
• Strong T-SQL scripting and automation skills using Python or PowerShell.
• 6+ months of hands-on exposure to AWS Cloud RDS.
• Experience in investment banking or brokerage environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL support and MS SharePoint documentation.
• Bachelor's degree from a U.S.-accredited university.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to MySQL, Linux, Azure, or Snowflake.
• Microsoft certifications on the latest SQL Server versions (e.g., MCSE, MCSA).
