Description

You will own the administration, maintenance, and migration of SQL database infrastructure across on-prem, cloud, and AWS environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL database servers, including RDS and cloud installations.
• Monitor and tune database performance to ensure availability and security standards.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss.
• Perform routine maintenance, including index rebuilding, query optimization, and database tuning.
• Design and execute database migrations to AWS environments.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in SQL Server database administration.
• Strong command of SQL, SQL Server tools, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Extensive experience with AWS cloud services (RDS, Redshift, S3, Glue).
• Proven experience with High Availability (HA), database security, backup, and Disaster Recovery (DR).
• Proficiency in PowerShell or Unix Shell scripting for operational automation.
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization using native and third-party tools.
• Experience working with Windows and Linux Server environments, including Active Directory.
• Extensive experience with database technologies including MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS.
• MCSE/MCSA certifications.
