Description

You will own the administration, performance, and stability of high-volume SQL Server environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SQL Server health, proactively managing slow queries, blocking, and deadlocks.
• Manage daily backup and restore operations, ensuring failover readiness for HA/DR scenarios.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data hygiene issues, including orphaned records and duplicate SKUs.
• Implement index tuning, performance optimization, and coordinate SQL migration or consolidation projects.
• Analyze data anomalies and translate technical errors into clear business impacts for non-technical teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in SQL Server DBA roles.
• Expertise in SQL Server 2016–2022 administration, query tuning, and indexing.
• Proficiency with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Profiler, and Extended Events.
• Strong command of database maintenance, including DBCC checks, index rebuilds, and cleanup.
• Experience implementing SQL Security and Role-Based Access Control.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, including SSIS, API-based data feeds, and batch imports.
• Experience with large, high-volume transactional databases, preferably in Retail or Hospitality.
• Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory basics.
