Description

You will own the engineering and operational support for Production, UAT, and Test environments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve performance issues across application, network, database, server, and storage tiers.
• Manage SQL Server installation, configuration, patching, backup, recovery, and remote monitoring.
• Represent the database team in architectural decisions, deployment strategies, and environment management.
• Define operational best practices and automate manual administrative tasks using shell scripts and cron.
• Operate within controlled environments following strict change management and SDLC principles.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of SQL Server DBA experience.
• Expertise in SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014, and 2016 databases.
• Deep experience with SQL Server Clustering, Mirroring, and Log Shipping.
• Proficiency in SQL/TSQL and PL/SQL.
• Advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Hands-on experience in large, dynamic, and complex database environments.
• Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle RDBMS.
• Experience using Foglight and OEM.
