Description

You will own high-level SQL Server performance tuning and database architecture optimization.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize SQL queries to ensure high efficiency and scalability.
• Refactor and rewrite complex, poorly performing SQL queries into optimized code.
• Design and implement scalable database architectures for high-performance systems.
• Identify and fix suboptimal code and queries as a Subject Matter Expert without altering business logic.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of SQL Server development and administration experience.
• 5+ years of experience focused specifically on SQL Server performance tuning and internals.
• Expert knowledge of the SQL Server Optimizer and statistics-based optimization.
• Deep understanding of execution plans, indexing strategies, and diagnosing latching or blocking issues.
• Experience working in high-parallel query execution environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, SSMS, SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and Dynamic Management Views (DMVs).
• Ability to perform query execution plan analysis.
