Description

You will lead the modernization of data warehouse and business intelligence systems, transitioning legacy SQL Server environments to modern cloud-based architectures.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own the upgrade of SQL Server 2012 VMs in Azure to SQL Server 2019/2022.
• Manage ETL migrations for new SAP ERP data sources and technology shifts from AWS Redshift to Snowflake.
• Evaluate readiness for transitioning SSIH/SSAS/SSRS workloads to Azure PaaS, IaC, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks.
• Organize technical and end-user testing for deployment across environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for new developments and system functionality.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in SQL Server development and database administration.
• Expertise in Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS) 2012 and 2019/2022.
• Advanced Microsoft Analysis Services (SSAS) skills, including OLAP cubes, MDX calculations, and Tabular models.
• Deep proficiency in Microsoft Integration Services (SSIS) package design and deployment models.
• Strong T-SQL programming skills, including stored procedures, indexes, partitions, triggers, and CTEs.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, Power Query, and DAX.
• Strong understanding of Star schema, Kimball methodology, and normalization/denormalization.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MS Power BI dataflows.
• Knowledge of Redgate SQL Toolbelt or Source Control deployment solutions.
