You will manage and scale database infrastructure to support high-availability microservices on the cloud.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Set up disaster recovery for managed and unmanaged databases.
• Design and enhance monitoring environments to ensure system health.
• Implement access controls and security protocols for all database instances.
• Automate solutions for repeatable operational problems and manual tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve complex database issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering or cloud-based technologies.
• 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• 3+ years of experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency with RDBMS including MySQL, RDS, or CloudSQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch and DynamoDB.
• Experience with time-series databases like Prometheus.
• Knowledge of Docker, containers, or Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or Perl.
• Hands-on experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery planning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with managed databases such as Spanner or Datastore.
