Description

You will define the technical strategy for the global telemetry fabric, bridging distributed software and network hardware to drive architectural standards for complex data-intensive initiatives.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize ingestion and storage engines using Java and PostgreSQL to ensure high availability and performance at scale.
• Lead the design of high-throughput messaging systems with Apache Kafka to handle trillions of telemetry points with sub-second latency.
• Define global observability standards in Grafana, building complex dashboards that aggregate data from diverse sources.
• Architect massively parallel stream processing pipelines using tools like Apache Flink for real-time anomaly detection.
• Drive the engineering roadmap, translating product requirements into technical specifications and managing relationships with internal and external teams.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering and distributed systems.
• 5+ years of experience in large-scale network engineering, telemetry, or observability platforms.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java for building high-performance, scalable backend services.
• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL schema design, tuning, and Apache Kafka cluster architecture.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, SQL, and structured Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proficiency with visualization tools like Grafana and monitoring stacks including Prometheus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Apache Flink for stateful stream processing.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies such as Model-Driven Telemetry (MDT), ClickHouse, or Thanos.
