Description

You will provide technical leadership on high-impact cloud platform projects, driving cost efficiency and reliability for a distributed engineering team.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute technical direction for multi-year cloud platform evolution, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Write Kubernetes controllers and build admission webhooks to extend cluster capabilities beyond basic UI operations.
• Coach and align distributed engineering teams on goals, outcomes, and delivery timelines.
• Manage project priorities and deliverables to ensure successful execution across multiple teams.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of relevant infrastructure experience.
• 4+ years of expertise with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and IaaS offerings like EC2.
• Advanced Kubernetes expertise, specifically hands-on experience writing controllers and admission webhooks.
• Proficiency in Go (Golang).
• Experience setting technical direction and planning large-scale projects.
• Strong focus on efficiency, availability, quality, and developer experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Istio or Envoy.
