Description

You will manage and optimize PowerMax storage systems, specifically supporting iSeries hosts, ensuring high availability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Administer PowerMax (PMAX) systems to maintain high availability for iSeries hosts.
• Implement and manage Symmetrix Remote Data Facility (SRDF) for multi-site data replication.
• Configure and manage snapshots (SNAPs) for point-in-time data recovery.
• Set up monitoring, alerts, and CloudIQ analytics to proactively manage storage health.
• Document best practices for storage provisioning, performance tuning, and capacity management.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in storage administration.
• Expert-level hands-on experience with PowerMax (PMAX) systems.
• Deep technical knowledge of SRDF and SRDF TimeFinder.
• Proficiency with SNAPs for data recovery operations.
• Experience using CloudIQ for monitoring and performance optimization.
• Proven ability to manage storage for iSeries hosts.
• Strong understanding of storage provisioning and capacity management principles.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Dell EMC Proven Professional Certification.
• IBM Certified System Administrator - Power Systems.
• Certified Storage Networking Expert (CSNE).
