Roles and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and perform health checks for Veritas NetBackup and related storage appliances; troubleshoot backup failures across VM, file systems, SQL, Oracle, NDMP, and SAP.
• Configure and manage backup jobs for VM, file systems, SQL, Oracle, NDMP, and SAP; ensure successful backup completion and retention compliance.
• Administer NetApp in Cluster Mode, including Active IQ monitoring, SAN & NAS provisioning, and user-related issue troubleshooting.
• Perform restoration of VM, file systems, and SQL workloads; support Oracle restoration as part of recovery operations.
• Configure tape libraries and tape drives; implement AIR to DR workflows and configure OPS reporting.

Skills Required:

• 8-12 years of relevant experience in enterprise storage administration and backup operations.
• Veritas NetBackup administration (monitoring, health checks, troubleshooting, upgrades, backup configuration).
• NetApp administration with Cluster Mode, including Active IQ monitoring and SAN/NAS provisioning.
• Database backup and restore support for SQL and Oracle workloads.
• Troubleshooting and operational support for backup and restoration across VM, file systems, and database environments.

Good to Have:

• NDMP, SAP, Data Domain, tape libraries, tape drives, AIR, DR, and OPS report experience.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
