Description

Lead structural design and engineering support for aircraft modification and special mission programs.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve structural design issues during build or modification activities.
• Develop and release temporary engineering solutions to support production schedules.
• Review non-conforming hardware and provide rework instructions (MRB support).
• Investigate aircraft designs and coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams.
• Create technical documentation for structural repairs, modifications, and installation requirements.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in aircraft design, manufacturing, or modifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15,000 hours using CATIA V5.
• Strong proficiency in CATIA V5 Assembly Design, Part Design (Boolean Operations), Aerospace Sheetmetal, and Tubing Design.
• Experience with Special Missions, Aftermarket, or aircraft modification programs.
• Proven background in leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with CATIA V5 Kinematics and Electrical Harness Routing workbenches.
• Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter PLM systems.
