Description

You will lead the structural engineering design for cold-formed steel (CFS) framing systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed structural engineering drawings for CFS framing systems, including curtain walls, partitions, ceilings, and load-bearing walls.
• Perform structural calculations for wind and seismic loads, preparing complete engineering packages for design teams and local authorities.
• Apply AISI, AISC, IBC, and ASCE standards to ensure all designs meet regulatory and safety requirements.
• Lead and mentor engineering and drafting team members, reviewing their work to ensure quality and compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers of record, and contractors during project meetings and field operations.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cold-formed steel design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one U.S. state; Structural Engineer (SE) or multi-state licensure is preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit, RISA, CFS Designer, or similar structural analysis software.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and trade drawings.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage priorities and exercise independent judgment.

Preferred Skills

• SE license or multi-state PE/SE capability.
• Experience in prefabrication, modular construction, or data center projects.
