Senior System Administrator

You will lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server environments and cloud resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor the work of others in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting servers and computer systems.
• Manage server builds, application patches, release upgrades, and hardware/software deployments.
• Configure and optimize network systems, operating systems, and system applications to maintain efficiency.
• Administer user accounts, authentication, authorization, and access controls.
• Execute system backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery testing.
• Analyze and resolve escalated hardware, software, network, and production issues.
• Monitor system capacity, CPU usage, disk usage, and performance trends.
• Automate administration tasks through scripting and light programming.
• Maintain comprehensive system documentation, including network configurations and deployment procedures.
• Manage vendor relationships and review technical RFPs for technology projects.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration and maintenance.
• Proficiency with TCP/IP and network integration protocols.
• Experience managing local and distributed networked computing environments.
• Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot infrastructure hardware and software.
• Knowledge of data storage, communications, and operating system commands.
• Scripting experience using Tk, Perl, or VBScript.
• Experience with user account management and application support.
• Ability to perform capacity trending analysis and system performance monitoring.
• Any Graduate degree.
